I thought there were a bunch of incentives as well. Perhaps I was wrong. I kinda watched this whole "competition" drama over the past year or two and it seemed like Amazon was playing people and that the 20 cities or so that were vying for the site were falling over each other as to who could give the most away.

NY was not giving anything away to Amazon or providing any subsidies as claimed by Ocasion-Cortez.

That idiot AOC is the poster child for the abject failure of our education system. She has a stunning incapacity to understand the most basic things.

She actually said that now NY can spend those billions of dollars on teacher pay and infrastructure projects. She honestly believes that NY was paying Amazon billions of dollars to relocate to NY. She is dumb. Asonishingly dumb.

If she gets reelected in 2020, I hope those New Yorkers get what they deserve. This is a situation where stupidity needs to be painful.

I thought they were giving tax credits though or whatever you call it. That is pretty par for the course in these types of things.

That is not paying Amazon to relocate. Nor is it giving them a subsidy. They were going to be given tax breaks as an incentive to create 25,000+ jobs and generating hundreds of billions of dollars into their economy.

Tney were not not to be given any tax payer provided money in any way shape or form.
