Is there a Dr in the house?

One year ago I felt like a 20 year old. Then...I broke my right foot. It simply does not seem to be much better. 3 months after the break my right knee was killing me and still is. A few months ago my left knee and lower leg started hurting. It's getting difficult to walk without mega pain in both legs. I think I'm dealing with seperate issues. Pain meds aren't helping much at all. Anyone else experience a cascade of issues after being healthy their entire life?

Perhaps after you broke your foot, the way you walked to compensate caused strain and other injury. I broke a toe this weekend and am having that issue.

If the broken foot created gait issues i.e. changed the way that you walk, then it may be putting stress on your knee and could ultimately affect your hip. You would then need gait therapy to correct your gait issues. Even wearing a cast for several months can throw your body out of alignment, which can also affect your gait and how you balance your weight while in motion. See a physiotherapist and take it from there.

I understood the right leg pain from the overcompensating. Even the left I understand. What I don't understand is why I'm getting worse, not better.

I went to Campbell Clinic in Memphis. They gave me a boot but it hurt too bad as it was too heavy. Switched me to a shoe which helped but not enough. I am probably looking for easy answers to this. I do not want to do the rounds of specialists .

Pain meds masked the issue. Stop them and pursue physical rehab. The body can mend without pharmaceutical intervention.

Jimmyz is correct. There is no pharmaceutical solution for your problem. You probably need physical therapy and possibly gait therapy. You might try a chiropractor first to see if your hips are really out of alignment. That might be a quicker fix but you will still have to some strength training to maintain proper alignment.

Feeling like a 20 year old and being a 20 year old are two different things. Age matters, especially in healing. A year seems more than enough to heal a broken bone no matter the age given that it was set correctly.

Pain meds mask pain, they don't cure it. Unless you want to be on pain meds for the rest of your life, you should find out the cause of the pain.

Do not sit on it. Walk, ride a stationary bike or swim. I hope you heal.
