    Oklahoma Hit By 5.6 Earthquake.....

    http://news.yahoo.com/big-quake-foll...203947305.html

SPARKS, Okla. (AP) — Clouds of dust belched from the corners of almost every room in Joe Reneau's house as the biggest earthquake in Oklahoma history rocked the two-story building.

The magnitude 5.6 earthquake and its aftershocks still had residents rattled Sunday.

Oklahoma typically had about 50 earthquakes a year until 2009. Then the number spiked, and 1,047 quakes shook the state last year, prompting researchers to install seismographs in the area. Still, most of the earthquakes have been small.

Geologists now believe a magnitude 4.7 earthquake Saturday morning was a foreshock to the bigger one that followed that night. They recorded at least 10 aftershocks by midmorning Sunday and expected more. Two of the aftershocks, at 4 a.m. and 9 a.m., were big, magnitude 4.0.

Scientists are puzzled by the recent seismic activity. It appeared the latest quake occurred on the Wilzetta fault, but researchers may never know for sure. Earthquakes that hit east of the Rocky Mountains are harder to pinpoint because the fault systems are not as well studied as major faults like the San Andreas in California.

Arkansas also has seen a big increase in earthquake activity, which residents have blamed on injection wells. Natural gas companies engaged in hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, use fluid to break apart shale and rock to release natural gas. Injection wells then dispose of the fluid by injecting it back into the ground.

There are 181 injection wells in the Oklahoma county where most of the weekend earthquakes happened, said Matt Skinner, spokesman for the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, which oversees oil and gas production in the state and intrastate transportation pipelines.

But natural gas companies claim there is no proof of a connection between injection wells and earthquakes, and a study released earlier this year by an Oklahoma Geological Survey seismologist seems to back that up. It found most of the state's seismic activity didn't appear to be tied to the wells, although more investigation was needed.....snip~

Scientists don't know the reason why. Due to non-sufficent studying of the Wilzetta Fault. From 50 to over a Thousand. Arkansas with increased seismic activity. We are starting to see and hear more and more about them. Also Seismic Activity has increased the World over. Earthquakes where none were felt before. Does anyone think this may have to do with the Polar Shift?

Note if an earthquake of anything over a 4.7 hits Yellowstone park it will cause that Supervolcanoe to blow. Already they have been recieving the tremors. Here in the Midwest We also have been hit with Shocks. Think our media and government will tell people if it does happen to stir the Supervolcano In Yellowstone Park?

History does not long Entrust the care of Freedom, to the Weak or Timid!!!!! Dwight D. Eisenhower ~

    Red face

    US Quake Rattles 8 States...

Earthquake near Whitesburg rattles parts of 8 states
November 10, 2012 - A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck outside Whitesburg shortly after noon Saturday, with reverberations felt through Eastern and Central Kentucky and at least seven other states.
The epicenter was eight miles west of Whitesburg and was centered about .7 miles deep, according to the National Weather Service in Jackson. The U.S. Geological Service confirmed the quake's time as 12:08 p.m. WKYT-TV chief meteorologist Chris Bailey said the earthquake was the strongest in Kentucky since a 5.2 quake that hit Bath County in 1980. The USGS reported that it was felt in West Virginia, Tennessee, Ohio, North Carolina, Georgia, Indiana and South Carolina. But the most dramatic effects were in Eastern Kentucky.

Craig Dixon, a Letcher County miner, lives in the small community of Sycamore Loop, about 2 miles from the epicenter. "I was sitting at home, on my computer, my wife was feeding the dogs, when it sounded like a 747 was crashing into the house," said Dixon, 48. "Everything in the house started shaking and rattling for about 15 seconds." The "weirdest sight," Dixon said, was "the hundreds of spiders and bugs that came out of the ground and started climbing on the outside of the house." The Dixon house experienced no damage, he said, but some of his neighbors told him there were cracks in the foundations of their homes. "It seemed like people higher up on the mountains got more vibration than we did," he said. Dixon said he has heard hundreds of coal-mining blasts in his job, "but nothing like what I heard today. It was scary enough, but it would have been even more terrifying if it had been in the middle of the night."

Will Nash of Teach for America was in Prestonsburg conducting professional development training with a group of 25 teachers. "Felt it in the library as ceiling fans and books shook," he wrote on Twitter. Lt. Ken Sexton of the Whitesburg Fire Department said officials in Letcher County were trying to assess damage, but they had not received any reports of injuries. Dispatcher Barbara Brashear of Perry County emergency services in Hazard said there had been two reports of property damage so far, but no injuries. "We have reports of a lot of pictures falling off the wall," she said. "We've been told it was felt as far up as Cincinnati and as far south as Georgia."

The state police post in Hazard covers five counties: Perry, Letcher, Knott, Leslie, Perry and Breathitt. Dispatcher Ryan Adams said there were no injuries or structural-damage reports, but "we're getting reports from all across the region of people's pictures being knocked off the wall, and ceramic figurines being broken," he said. Tom Monarch was on the second floor of his home in Lexington's Chevy Chase neighborhood when he felt a vibration like an "unbalanced washing machine." "It sustained for a little over 30 seconds," he said, but it reminded him of the 1980 earthquake, when he was a child in Frankfort. "It kept vibrating, and then it tapered off." About 3 p.m., Bailey reported that aftershocks of 2.2 and 2.3 magnitude had been reported near the epicenter of the original quake.

Let's hope it was a divine practise run with somewhere worthwhile as its main target for the "big one" --- Texas or Virginia would be nice .
And it would be pointless letting Americans know about a projected Yellowstone event --- they would simply die arguing about its party political causes .

I don't know that it's very cool to joke about catastrophes. I'm just going to assume it was a poorly crafted and delivered joke, because wishing harm on people is pretty damn ridiculous.

No , it was deliberately worded and carefully thought about beforehand --- your type of reaction was completely expected .
I doubt that God will take any notice of my preferences before he strikes .
You should blame divine providence and not my attempted intervention .

Do you not understand the depravity of wishing harm on people in this manner?

Also, using religion in this manner to wish harm or to try and validate harm on millions of people is not God's will.

You will be babbling next about your special and privileged relationship .
And then chatting about those old testament tales where he killed , maimed and ruined randomly just to assuage his bad temper and stupidity .

He ranks with Stalin and Hitler as far as I am concerned . But worse .

I'm going to try your level of maturity.

I know what you are, but what am I?

    Better?
