I didn't realize there were so many different colors for trucks in 1957, especially, so many brighter colors.

The builder called me today. My truck is in his shop. All parts are on hand and my truck is now his top priority. It will be done within the next three months.
A while back he called me and asked if he could bump someone in front of me because the guy's wife had terminal cancer and wanted to go for a cruise in their 54 Ford truck before she passed away. What was I supposed to say to that....no?

I still haven’t decided on a color for the finished product. Do I go bold or subdued? I don’t know what to do.

It's ok if you disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.
I'm a little frustrated. He hasn't made the progress promised. However there's a penalty he pays for every day he's overdue. My final cost is going to be substantially less than our originally agreed upon price because of his tardiness.
He's so far behind right now that he'd have to dedicate his entire crew to my truck to get it done on time and that's not going to hapoen. He's at least a month behind schedule right now. At a $100.00 a day, that adds up. I can stand saving a few grand on the final cost.
He has a semi valid reason for being behind schedule, but it's not my problem. He called me and told me that another higher priority project popped up. I said that's cool, but the late penalty we agreed upon applies. He acknowledged that. My truck is supposed to be done by August 5th. From what I've seen, it might not be done by October 5th.
I’m not pissed off, just anxious. I wanted to take my truck to local shows and cruise in’s this summer.

Sorry T-man. Saving some cash will definitely ease the pain but not fully until you get your truck back. I'm anxious to see the end result. I hope you post some pics.
