Great question! I wonder weather they'd give T-man a deal if his truck is featured on a show.

Don't know about a deal, but they'd sho-nuff need his permission.
It's ok if you disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.

What about, pearl white? I also like, candy apple red.

Candy apple red would be "real purdy"! Vintage vehicles often benefit from that color and the dimensional quality of the paint.

I just think it's a very, ' eye poppin' color, that would look good on an old truck.

I have an old 57 Chevy pick up. All original in need of a restoration. I have another one that I did myself a few years ago, but this time I wanted to make this a custom job.

I can't fabricate, chop a top or do custom interiors. I contacted one of the custom hot rod shops you see on the weekly TV shows. I enquired about having my truck done by him. I had to send him a detailed video of the truck and close up pictures of everything.

After reviewing my video, photos and telling him what I was looking for and my budget he agreed to accept the job. This was two years ago. He told me then that he was looking at nearly two years out to take on a new project.

Last week he contacted me and told me he's ready if I'm still willing. I sent the truck to him today on a trailer. He said it's going to be nine months if everything goes as planned. Then he said to expect some problems, because something always comes up, but he will keep it within 15% of my original budget. He will deduct 10% per month for the final bill for every month past the nine month deadline.

I'm pretty jazzed about this. My wife? Eh.... Not so much. She doesn't like 57 Chevy trucks. She would rather spend the money on more kitchen upgrades. I'm fine with the kitchen the way it is.

Sounds cool. Nine months is a long time. I guess this means the truck will really be "your baby". Also impressive that you can do so much restoration on your own.

Kindig might be the best for quality work but bring your money! He charges $250,000 minimum. If you can swing it though you get one bad $#@!en ride! His labor rate is $50 per hour which is a lot cheaper than some but it adds up when you hit several thousand hours with his top notch crew. I like the work that Texas Metal does but I'd bet you would need deep pockets there too.

I've considered something along those lines. Red is out of the question though.
