Abraham Lincoln was quoted as saying that while he learned many important things from good people, he also learned something from bad people too! And what he learned from bad people was "how not to be!"
America should heed old Abe's wisdom, because in Donald Trump and the Republican congressional leadership, we have some very bad people, and they are leading America astray and into dire straits.
Just consider the damage Trump and the GOP have done in two short years!
Alienating our allies worldwide, and undermining the NATO alliance, and all for the benefit of our worst enemy, Vladimir Putin of Russia!
Giving the richest 1% in America more tax cuts, thereby skyrocketing the annual deficit back over $1 trillion/year, after Obama had cut that in half!!!
Denying science and abandoning the Paris Accords, which would have mitigated the growing threats of Climate Change!
Gutting clean air and water rules, and corrupting the EPA into the Environmental Polluter's Agency!!!
Trying to destroy the Affordable Care Act, while offering nothing to replace reasonable healthcare insurance for 20 million Americans!
And aside from the rancid corruption of Trump and the Republican Party, they continue to promote a destructive divisiveness in America, as the Trump/GOP racism, xenophobia, homophobia, and misogyny elevate Ignorance and Hate, thereby inciting the worst kind of bigotry since the ugly days of Segregation.
And to all this the Russian despot, Vladimir Putin must be smiling, because by putting his puppet, Donald Trump, in the WH, he can watch America twist and turn, while he resurrects the monstrous U.S.S.R. and invades the old "satellite countries" with no U.S.A. to deny him!
