New Jersey state lawmakers moved forward Thursday with a bill that could force President Donald Trump to disclose his tax returns.

The Democrat-controlled state Senate voted along partisan lines, 23-11, to advance the measure to the General Assembly. One Democrat did not vote.

The bill, NJ S119 (18R), would require candidates for president and vice president to disclose their tax returns for the previous five years in order to appear on the ballot in New Jersey. The measure would also bar New Jersey’s electors from casting votes for a candidate who did not submit the returns.

They must know, unequivocally, that the person they vote for is invulnerable to blackmail, coercion or intimidation of any kind due to financial liabilities,” Weinberg said in a statement. “We have the right to know that no action taken by an administration is motivated by personal financial gain, as opposed to the good of the republic. This transparency is common sense, which is why it has been the norm for so many decades.“

Trump broke with decades of precedent by refusing to disclose his tax returns when he ran for president in 2016. Similar legislation has been introduced in other states, though it’s not clear if the bills would pass constitutional muster.

Former Republican Gov. Chris Christie had previously conditionally vetoed a similar proposal, calling it unconstitutional and a “political stunt.”

Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg, a primary sponsor, said the legislation is needed, in part, because voters should know that candidates aren’t compromised......snip~

Should other states file lawsuits against new Jersey Democrats for interfering with the Presidential Process? What would New Jersey people feel like if they had 30 some states giving them a $#@!slap thru the court? Should Other states talk about how Democrats in New Jersey are dipshits and an embarrassment to the country?

Would they get the message if they knew that most of the country was against them?

When New Jersey Democrats talk.....and preach this bull$#@!, shouldn't Bob Menendez be thrown up in their faces?
It may very well be unconstitutional.

Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

It should be.....they don't need to know what ones taxes were or are.

Moreover.....the IRS, Treasury, the FBI and NSA would have a Constitutional Duty to set out any who was a Foreign Country's Patsy.
