i did not say I was ok with them. You said that they were fraudulent and I am saying that there is a compelling governmental interest in them. I haven’t researched it but the courts will uphold on that basis Hence, not fraudulent.

Unconstitutional would be the technical term.

Your ideals were fine in the colonial days when a trip to town and back was an all day ride by horse and carriage

In todays society with people living next to on top of and under each other, to exist we have to have controls and laws that disallow certain behavior that affects everyone else.

This is not the wild lawless west anymore, it doesnt take months to get from the east to west coast. They didnt have a national drug problem them, they didnt have people driving whacked out of their mind killing kids and families.
They didnt have crack wars that killed thousands of people, didnt have drug cartels that murder thousands and thats before they consume their drugs

Not only should we have laws against illicit drug sales and use we should aggressively enforce them for the good of everyone.

No matter how much you or anyone else doesnt like being told what to do, its been that was since you were born and its going to be worse by the time you are dead.

Laws that protect society are a must and especially drug laws, they are not victimless crime. Those that sell it are killing drug users kill many in the process and those that are killed using drugs and those killed because of drug use and ALL the other related crime against other people. Drug sales and use are the catalyst for a myriad of crimes and a big percentage of all crimes

Literally TONS upon tons of drugs have been stopped from entering the USA and stopped from being distributed once they were in the country. Drugs laws are not only for americans its for those that bring it here and kill people.

In a society where people live and work and spend their lives near and next to each other there must be laws that tell you what you can and cant do to protect the lionshare of the population. The dominant humans would destroy the weaker, same as laws protecting animals from alpha human predators.

Drug war is just a negative term for Drug laws, do you like laws against pedophillia ? do you like laws against murder? do you like laws against rape ? do you like laws against robbery? How about jaywalking laws, or pissing in public, or jerking off in public, how about assualt laws, or sexual assault or Drunk driving laws, or consuming alcohol in public, drunk driving laws ?trespassing laws or pick one, they all tell you what you can and cant do.

No individual gets to choose which hes going to abide by and which he isnt, thats against the law too, its been that way long before you were born and its going to that way when you are dead. No matter how much any individual hates it.

This is why Big Pharma gets away with gouging the American public, it's why Monsanto's frankenseeds can invade the land of hapless farmers and they end up having to pay Monsanto for its trespassing product. It's why GMO crops are recklessly grown and sold in America, with the public serving as guinea pigs. It's also why certain energy companies can pollute the air and land in some regions without having to answer for it. It's why there is such a thing as corporate welfare.

It's those same multimillionaires who also collude with government to ensure that there are massive loopholes in the tax code that exclusively benefit the very wealthy.

They are not treated equally under the law because if they were, they wouldn't be able to collude with government to help make them multimillionaires.
I believe that there's nobody that has more influence over the government than the unions - particularly the public unions. Using your rationale, we should therefore tax union employees at the maximum rate as they hold the most sway over government, no?

Unions may affect wages and working conditions but they don't collude with government to create monopoly industries or create loopholes in the tax code to favor the wealthy.
In quoting my post, you affirm and agree that you have not been goaded, provoked, emotionally manipulated or otherwise coerced into responding.

    That was quite a pantload.

ROFL. It's the God dammed illegality of something we can't stop that leads to far more death and misery than getting high does. Check out the real world evidence
