So, oh knowledgeable one: What was the ME about? Do gooding? Being good world citizens? Believing the saudis deserved powerful friends? $#@! no. It was about oil, Western oil companies and petro dollars. Our government is so controlling that we may have invaded Iraq ( the second time)mostly because they were considering selling their own oil in non-American dollars.
If none of that's true. Enlighten me as to why we have made so much war in the ME where the oil is?

Afghanistan has 100 billion dollars in oil. We don't kill for that little. Once more you talk with no facts to back you up.

Afghanistan was a place for the Soviets and Americans to play at war without actually going head to head in the 80's. Then we went in to drive out ALQ, quickly did so but stayed anyway. It's OK the poppy has done well under our presence. There is more than one kind of oil in Afghanistan.
But Iraq 2.0 , now that was about the petro dollar and then there were our actions in Iran and so many other places, some military, many CIA. None of which made sense under any other lens than it all being about oil and American megacorps. Good God , we made near constant war in a place where our megacorps got super rich off their national resources. Even if you didn't believe the obvious you can't deny that we became dependent upon foreign oil, stupidly I might add, and protected the flow.
So yeah we killed, pushed coups, CIA actions, drone bombs, occupied , kept things unstable etc. In fact keeping the ME too unstable to nationalize our companies and become too much in control over the flow of our societies life blood. and using the American petro dollar, explains our actions in the ME over time far better than the "reasoning" the government gives us.

You err. I no longer wonder why your default position is anti-American.
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

Choose a country and a time. Let's discuss it. Your broad, anti-American hand waves are fun but don't form the basis of a good discussion.

I\m pro american as all hell. It's the government I don't trust and one thing they have earned is distrust. If you can't see the difference you're a lock stepper.
