Your statement was totally false and the reason has already be provided by another member above. In the US, the local sheriff is the enforcer of the Constitution at the local level. That is why they are elected. So Citizens can ensure they have a voice when it comes to the Government and laws that may run afoul of the Constitution. So when your Statist ilk pass unconstitutional laws, a sheriff who takes his oath seriously steps in and shuts you down fast.

Hey, dummy, in South Carolina, a sheriff can only be removed when under indictment for a felony. What the law is in Arizona I don't know. If it happened here you would dead ass wrong. The sheriff can't be removed for not enforcing a law. You could have googled it instead of making an ass of yourself.

    That is the law.
Not in New Mexico or South Carolina. I can't vouch for the rest. I can vouch that you're unteachable. A deputy can be fired here for no reason at all.

I'd think SC Sheriff's would if need be. Our Legislature wouldn't pass such a law so it's a moot point here.

Hard to haul a Sheriff into court because he didn't do something. He can only do what he has the resources to do. Who decides that? The Sheriff does.

Yeah I would tend to agree with you on that. In fact I don't think it would pass muster in most states.

Once I tell you that we agree to disagree there will be no more discussion between us in the thread so please don't waste your time continuing to argue your points because I will not respond.
