There are no socialist countries in Europe and their markets are all relatively free. I say "relatively" not because there is such a thing as a "pure system" or because of this hybrid nonsense but because a free market, strictly speaking, is a Utopian scheme. There never was a free market. There never will be.
I still hold to the definition the free market is that much of the market not fixed by regulation.
