I will have to admit one way a salt free diet works is that without salt many foods taste so bland you don't eat very much of it. Low sodium soup for example takes like over boiled water!!
The only way to deal with that is to learn to enjoy spicy food or foods made with lemon or other strong flavors. For instance you could pretty much leave out salt in a curry dish or a fairly spicy chilli and not notice it and the same with Greek chicken souvlaki marinated in lemon juice and herbs. You don't notice the lack of salt. It's only when food is blander that you really miss the salt.

Who told you that? A Mickey D manager? All the burgers are made when you ask for them, not before. Plus you can get it about 1000 different ways based on all the different add on's you can get. The menu is somewhat limited in that you can get hamburgers, hot dogs or vegetable sandwiches. And of course fries. They will fry them with no salt if you ask for them that way. They are not my all time favorite fast food place (that would be Hansen's Lunch in Yokosuka Japan, a bit far for everyday lunch) but they are quite good.

Honestly, i think you leave most of the fat out of a spicy chili too. Heat, garlic and onion make up for missing fat, IMO.

Very true. There is plenty of liquid to carry the flavor, so you don't need much fat at all. Fat is a vehicle to carry flavor and moisture in meat when it's roasted or fried but not nearly as necessary in stews. Whatever you use to fry the meat before it goes into the chilli is enough. A little is necessary - I'm not sure why, but without any fat at all, it would taste weird. My mother always said that soup without "eyes" (that's what she called the tiny circles of oil on the surface of the soup) tastes like nothing.

It's impossible to drain all the fat unless you're willing to wash the cooked meat off which would be very weird and would rob the dish of flavor.

Maybe I should try that. I am at 205 or so and I need to get to 185.

Besides which you need a certain amount of fat in your diet. Fat is a source of essential fatty acids, which the body can't make itself and helps the body absorb vitamins A, D and E. Because these vitamins are fat-soluble, they can only be absorbed with the help of fats. A totally fat-free diet would probably result in Rickets (mostly in children) and osteoporosis in adults.

You guys eat this junk and you are worried about glyphosate?
