We the People DID NOT vote in a majority Rodent Congress, they stole it via election fraud.

As far as nuclear over this arrangement I would think it would have an easier time getting past environmentalist who have the vapors at the mere mention of the word nuclear. I don't know if any one company could do this now or in the near future but a consortium could be developed and be possible. I would think history as taught us nothing is outside of the realm of possibility. If you can think it you can build it.
People over the years have spent copious amounts of time thinking of things like perpetual motion machines and turning base metals into gold.

    How'd that turn out?

Your pathetic attempt at politicizing this is noted and dismissed.

Girl, you really should make an attempt at learning how to read. Nothing in my post is politicized, not anymore than the irrational fear the technology will automatically be used to destroy our electrical grid etc.

You are basically an idiot when it comes to anyone you think has a different opinion than you.

    Jesus, what a flamer.

Right now we're using ancient reactors when we should be retrofitting them and building newer ones with much better tech.

I was referring to not enough plants- not the nuclear material. Yes, we need new ones.

The article discussed that China plans on building one. It did not mention that the US won't.

And we don't live under the threat of nuclear annihilation anymore? Anything can be weaponized. I would imagine when Ogg discovered fire the consensus was entire villages could now be easily destroyed by this new technology. If we did not pursue advances in technology because of the what if's then we would still be living in caves.

I am not an engineer or a scientist so I don't know if this will work or not. I do know it will not work if we don't at the very least investigate its feasibility. 60 years ago Videophones were panned because "who would want to be exposed like that". Now every teen in the known universe constantly uses the technology. In the 1950' Issac Asimov wrote a story in which people never left their homes but communicated via built in TV walls. With large screen TV's and Skype coupled with everyone texting each other rather than actually having face to face communication we are very close to that now.

And as for Sergeant Gleed's comment, we are already living under a constant barrage of microwaves. Its how data is transmitted.

This was studied in the 1990s and abandoned as not technically feasible at the time. It may be now.

Read the rest at the link.
But whom will control the power? Who will own the umbilical cord? We might need this for the areas but rural America should be able to develop individual home and neienergy for next to nothing.

What do nuclear weapons have to do with this?

Would you put your hand in a microwave oven, assuming you could?
