The post was from the GOP, like I said the post was stupid and really juvenile, but so is nearly everything on Social Media, that is why it is so popular with Kids. I do not go on them for the most part, I monitor my kids activities but that is really about it. If the world would pull their noses out of their smart phones we would most likely all be better off.

Two of the three individuals you mention both served in the armed forces unlike the President who did not serve so in my opinion they are at least one step on the hero status board as opposed to the president who should never criticize anyone who served in the military.

The Republican Party honored St. Patrick’s Day by sending a tweet mocking presidential hopeful Beto O’Rourke’s Irish heritage.

The tweet from the GOP’s official Twitter account featured an image of O’Rourke’s mug shot from a 1998 drunk-driving arrest.

The former Democratic representative was arrested at the age of 26 and given a DWI when he failed a breathalyzer test after losing control of his car and crashing into a truck on an interstate.

The mug shot in the tweet was photoshopped to include a cartoon leprechaun hat over his head and a placard across his chest that read, “PLEASE DRINK RESPONSIBLY.”


Along with the image, the GOP tweeted the message, “On this St. Paddy’s Day, a special message from noted Irishman Robert Francis O’Rourke.”

I don't hate him, I find him contemptible and antithetical to American values, but he's not worth hating.

You make the same error that so many others on here make as well. POTUS Trump is not my hero, while yes I am glad that he not Clinton is POTUS that does not make him my hero. I am a conservative leaning independent voter, I have voted for Independents, Republicans and Democrats. I have been a registered Democrat longer than a Republican in my life but have been an Independent longer than either of those.
I come from a very Blue Union household but I know that neither party is always right.
I am a fiscal conservative and really care less what goes on in people private lives. I think people should work for what they get, handouts will not make better people, helping hands have far better results.

Personally I think most people in the media and on the liberal side of the isle just do not understand Trump so they continue to play into his hands. He thrives on the attention and for the most part the left keeps delivering, he exaggerates and is bombastic, and the left keeps on biting. Generally speaking he plays to the media, it gets his message out, they think the way they portray him hurts him, but generally he has maintained the same levels his entire time with a small increase.
He by far in my opinion is not the best this country could offer as POTUS, but he is better than the person he defeated.
It is completely in the democrats hands if he gets reelected, they need to pick the right person. Currently it looks like they are heading down the wrong path. If they chose correctly Trump will be a one term POTUS, if they don't he will enjoy 4 more years at the helm, playing with the media.
