So your saying if a judge handles a dozen cases a day he can spend two hours getting verbally abused and degraded and there should be no consequences. You clearly dont understand how judges operate.

You get breaks when you have a clean record and the crime you committed isnt heinous. You get a break if you show "REMORSE" and your crime isnt heinous. You get HAMMERED when you dont show remorse and you decide you are going to abuse the guy that is going to sentence you.

I didn't say no consequences. I'm simply saying I think that 6 years is a long time for a few angry words. I could see a year or so. To me it seems more like revenge than justice. That's all.

He probably deserves the original sentence, but adding six years for an emotional outburst of words seems extreme and more like revenge than justice.

After reading more about this, the judge used his digression to sentence him closer to the top of the sentencing guidelines based on his demonstrated lack of remorse.

No. I do think that the punitive nature of the six years could be reversed.

Agreed. According to this sentence swearing at a judge is over 25% as bad a robbery and kidnapping? a liitle ego issue I'd say.
