Common throws quite a pity party, but spare us the icky factor in passing judgement on this guy. If he was within the law, and you find nothing against it in the Bible, and you can't (quite the contrary, I think), then you have no case. Far crueler events happen in the wild, and your objections mean nothing to me, or to the legal system, or to God or anyone else. You might have Satan's ear, but that's about it.

The destruction of our apex predators on the planet is not a matter for trite commentary. It's bad enough that the expansion of human population is continuously shrinking their hunting grounds and habitable areas, but poaching and indiscriminate (and strictly egotistical) hunting is also pushing lions toward extinction. If you believe in God and the scriptures, man's role on the planet is to be a good steward of all of the creatures on the planet, not to permanently destroy what man did not create. In fact, in destroying what man did not create, it is a big FU to God and the suggestion that man and his amusement is more important. If you believe in Satan, he would be pleased.

Unless you have a strong desire for wild meat I don't understand the entire hunting thing anymore. When I lived in Tennessee deer and bear hunting were big events. I could understand in a way hunting deer because many of those people hunted to augment their meager incomes and fill their freezers. Bear was a different story and other than for keeping down the bear population I saw no point in it. Deer were a big problem for many of the farmers and culling the herd was necessary. I always felt like the animals were there first and I should adjust to them. I had deer, bear, turkey, raccoons, squirrels, bob cats, and more species of birds than I could count. I would much rather watch them then hunt them.

I find this thread to be disturbing. Its amazing how often the same person who would find a claw hammer protruding from someones head "offensive" think its perfectly ok to sneak up on an innocent animal and kill it

That kind of hunting is boring as hell and only for rich old dudes that want to step off the land cruiser and walk a few yards until the rifle and stand are given to him buy the guide. A sleeping lion does not afford the shooter a good shot at a kill shot because of the position of the cat near the ground. Awful $#@! this practice is.

"There was no sport in the kill" and "...boring as hell" does not exist, as hell is not boring in any capacity or reality, that hell exists for hunters without merits. They can con and hide all they want.
