Not really. There are certainly some outstanding INDIVIDUALS who serve in the US military, but as an organizational whole, it is extremely inefficient and wasteful.

It isn't an economical system. Period.

We have all the usual means, of course. We have legal means, and violent means. We could have objected to FDR's coup. We didn't. So we lost the Constitution. Now it may take a rebellion or a civil war to replace it. It is a shame we will not take the reasonable first step enshrined in the Constitution itself.

Factory workers don't have the skills to decide what the company needs to do. It would be a fiasco.

I can't even imagine how such a system would work. Do all the workers get together one day a month and decide on production quotas, engineering goals, sales goals, expenditures on advertising, investment of profits if any, payroll distributions and on and on. How would this even work?

They would also likely have very high time preferences, iow, not be willing to risk capital and wait on rewards later on.

I'm not defending socialism, just trying to get at what it is, and once that's seen, it's problems can be seen. Merey defining it as evil accomplishes nothing.
