That's true to some extent but he dropped most if not all of it, worked his tail off and slowly came back. We Americans always seem to like stories of recovery, redemption and second chances. I hope he doesn't break Jack's record for majors only b/c Jack is a Buckeye. If he does, I hope he obliterates it. He would've but for a nine iron.

When he first rose to prominence fifteen or twenty years ago, the galleries were agog of him and raucous. The game lost its polite ambience for something more akin to football.

I don't find anything particularly admirable about him, or his cold blooded aloofness or anything else he brought to the game, much of it negative. His attitude has been generally "$#@! you" to his adoring followers.

You don't remember Arnold Palmer, Lee Trevino or any of the "old school" players for the kind of crap Tiger is known for. They were at least as exciting to watch.

Now, I know you're looking for me to get all racist and stuff, but there you go. Those are the facts of him.

Okay, I'm going to address the last part first. I wasn't looking for you to get racist, but an honest explanation, which it seems is what I got. I'm neer wanting anyone to break the rules.

The change that you're speaking of results from the game having many more fans. It's not really Tiger's fault, but the fault of people in general. The more there are, the more they suck.

His attitude at the beginning was generally warm. He shot up too quickly, and it got to his head. That was part of his baggage, which he seems to have overcome.

The old school greats didn't shoot up as quickly, so they had time to adjust as their fame grew.

He brings really money into the game.

He recovered from devastating surgery to surge to the top of the leaderboard. People wanted to see him come back and win. That's good for golf.

And the money that flows into golf when Tiger is playing well. Some of the golfers that lose to him make more money than if Tiger never was there.

Tiger sells air time, in you will, like no other golfer. Period. Too much for my taste, but it ain't about me. I mean I'm kind of glad Johnny Miller is retired because he is so Tiger biased it ain't funny.

I just had a marketing idea . What if Tigers "dates" made a calendar? Hell his ex is a model, she could direct the shoot. True it would have to be a two year calendar but so what?
