With all due respect you do understand some people too stupid to learn ? They should be weeded out because their lack of intellect should not be nurtured especially at the cost of those that can potentially be an asset. My father used to say " you can fix anything if you throw enough money at it". For the most part thats true. Other times its not true. (I'm proof of that lol . But its certainly not true for mentally challenged types. If Ma and Pa Halfwit have a problem understanding why the general populace doesnt bend over for their idiot spawn? Maybe they should have thought of that before they reproduced .

I grew up on our family Cotton farm in the Land of Cotton so I know all about "fertilizing". It has to be the right type of fertilizer or you're wasting money and time. You will not produce a crop of more productive students by fertilizing the playing field with mental misfortunates. I dont mean that ugly but thats just how things are.

To do that, the education offered at the public school level needs to be identically funded with equally qualified teachers and schools not falling apart in some districts while others are state of the art.

We spend generously on education. In fact, we spend more per student than some other Western nations that get a better return on their investment. That education is underfunded is another lie we need to stop telling ourselves.

A few things I notice is that when they do an analysis on States that are more or least dependent on the Gov, they throw in the state's GDP in the mix . Come on, take Cailf, it could be a country by itself with it's GDP.




But, they never seem to tell you that when a state like Calif that supposedly doesn't rely of Fed dollars is that they're also in Fiscal ruin !

Using GDP is the answer "trick" for many things. For example what does GDP have to do with government debt in a capitalistic society? When a bank looks at your ratio of debt they don't compare it to your town's revenue dop they?

There are many reason why states receive funds from the Feds. Using my own state as an example, the Feds currently own almost 35% of the land here. There are numerous military and federal research facilities located here, as well as a nuclear waste disposal site and 14 National Monuments and Parks. The state spends a lot of money maintaining the infrastructure necessary to support those facilities. The state is currently in the process of trying to buy some of that land back from the Feds, but Washington doesn't want to let go of it.

We would actually be better off if the Feds just took their toys and went home.
