Its sort of like liberals claiming the Mueller Report states emphatically that President Donald Trump obstructed justice. Its there, you just have to have the magic glasses to find it.

I have the greatest respect for the adherents to any religious faith whose beliefs cause them to be better people - whose conduct in the world reflects the spirituality they claim to possess. I have been privileged to know and like a number of Christian clergymen - several Catholic, a couple of Church of the Brethren, and at least one Methodist, Baptist and Nazarene - who were intelligent, selfless and reasonable individuals...not to mention others who were not priests or ministers, but simply member of the laity. Millions of sincerely religious people make the world a better place because they have faith and believe, and they are to be honored.
However, being a Christian does not immunize one from criticism, or even condemnation, in extreme cases. Neither does being Jewish, or Buddhist, or Muslim.
Certain Evangelical Christian groups in America have urged foreign governments, mainly in Africa and eastern Europe, to institute laws that call for the death penalty for being a homosexual. Some African congregations have been inspired by this extreme anti-gay rhetoric to round up and murder those suspected of this "crime". What the Catholic Church has done and failed to do with regard to the rape and molestation of children by members of their clergy is well known to everyone. Some Christians in this country advocate for the practice of permitting their own Faith to be incorporated into public law - as when they attempt to dictate to governments who can be licensed to marry; allowing one Faith, Christianity, to call the shots in Society, to the exclusion or detriment of all others, is a situation that existed in America for literally centuries, and certain Christians are loathe to see that go away.
When it comes to religion, I suppose you could say that my rule of thumb is to criticize or condemn those who act or speak irresponsibly, immorally or even criminally - while recognizing that much good, virtue and stability is created or nurtured by members of the same Faith to which is being given lip service by the miscreants and scoundrels. Coming down on someone who happens to be a Christian is no more attacking or "warring" on Christianity than criticizing the actions or opinions of an American is attacking the United States.
