New York City bans hot dogs

Just when you think the left can't get any more ridiculous they take another step.

Nothing is too far to go to fight climate change.

Extremely misleading thread title. (And yes, I know that's what the article's title say, too, but most journalists are simpletons.)

As the article goes on to explain, they're just reducing the amount of taxpayer money to be allotted for purchasing those kinds of foods for use in public facilities, like schools, hospitals and jails. Not a bad idea, considering that we're talking about food that is being given to children and sick people. As for prisoners getting less processed meat, I can't help but recall that Sheriff Joe here in Maricopa County mandated a vegan diet back in 2013, and was praised for it by local conservatives.

And yes, the idea of buying fewer hot dogs to combat climate change is pretty nonsensical, but again - no one is "banning" anything here.

When I was a kid, my father would sometimes take me up to Wrigley - we lived in Indianapolis - to watch the Cubs play, and they sold Kahn's hot dogs there at the park. They were the best hot dogs I'd ever had. For some reason they weren't yet being distributed where we lived, so my father, who was an airline pilot, would often bring them home from one of his trips.

Nothing like a good dog at the ballpark. For whatever reason they just taste better there. I'm partial to the Vienna Beef dogs. As the Chicagoans say they have a nice "snap"

It's got to have the 7 toppings, especially the eerily green relish.

I love my Diamondbacks, but it's almost impossible to get a good hot dog at Chase Field. Several vendors in the park sell them, but they're all cooked ahead of time and wrapped in foil, and they're always shriveled up and bad tasting and half the time they're burned. You can get an infinitely better hot dog from one of the carts out on the street and carry it in, but then it's cold by the time you get around to eating it. #firstworldproblems

Actually I think you are incorrect. The article said that they are eliminating processed meats, but also reducing the amount of red meat served at these facilities.
