Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.
I pledge allegiance to the Constitution as written and understood by this nation's founders, and to the Republic it created, an indivisible union of sovereign States, with liberty and justice for all.

It is not just rooms. A venue includes ballrooms and banquet halls.
I had to be in WADC for a proposal on two separate occasions. On one occasion nothing special was bringing people in. On the second occasion, some big event was happening. It was not as big as an inauguration. I could not afford the room rate. I had to find a room miles away and drive a half hour each way.
It is as if some people are not aware of the relationship between demand, supply, and price.

Correct. Hotels can charge whatever they want when they want. Look at the tourism industry. High, mid and low seasons. Hotel rates vary based on the seasons. @Dr. Who do you believe that practice is forbidden?

I wonder if Dr. Who thinks, or maybe feels that a federal agency should be created which regulates and oversees the hotel industry? We could call it the Hotel Motel Regulatory Agency.

Unless the hotel is the family asset of the politician being inaugurated. Then that gouging will invite questions of conflict of interest, not that Trump loses any sleep in that regard.
