Last Hurrah: Social Justice Warrior Vegan Restaurant That Charged Men More Is Closing

There is nuance upon nuance when it comes to the wage gap. It’s one of the top issues for those on the political left. And some people have decided to incorporate that philosophy into their business models. The wage gap is a debate for another time, but for one restaurant in Australia that charged men 18 percent more, they’re shutting down. As Ashe Schow wrote in The Daily Wire, the Handsome Her in Melbourne will be closing its doors at the end of the month, but it’s unclear if they’re doing so because of this policy:

Yet activists, like those at the Handsome Her café, use the difference in average earnings to claim women are not treated equally in society, or are undervalued.

In announcing the café’s closing, owners also announced a “last hurrah” to be held on April 28.

On a side note, I wouldn’t be surprised if this contributed to this café’s closure. Granted, there other factors that lead to the closure of resultants, politics not really being high on the list. Still, it doesn’t negate the fact that political correctness is a cancer. …..snip~

Charging men more for ordering the same thing. Imagine that. I doubt the leftness would criticize such a business, huh?

I certainly would, and I know a lot of other "leftness"-oriented individuals who would object to the concept, as well.

When it comes to discrimination on the basis of sex, not every Liberal buys the feminists' numbers games or believes that it's okay to discriminate in one area because of a perceived unfairness in another.

What you have to understand, M, is that the Left is not the monolithic, group-think structure of conservative fantasy and rhetoric. There are what I call special interest liberals, comprising a number of groups which are primarily or wholly focused on just one cause - or at best a very small number of causes - and they may or may not be sympathetic to, or even interested in, the favored cause of the Liberal down the street.
Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.” - Robert E. Howard

Thats true but what they are is a monolithic group vote structure that votes one way and that in itself makes any opposition to any single liberal agenda point moot

That's good to know Wolfman.....at least there are some of you old school Liberals still left out there to speak up. Although I doubt this new breed of leftists would listen.

Conservatives do not? Both sides, at election time, come together - if they're smart - and join forces with others, despite their differences in focus, in other to achieve victory. What I'm talking about is the tendency of some to think that because someone is, as an example, pro-2nd Amendment that they are also going to believe a certain way about any number of other topics, from abortion to assisted suicide to capital punishment. Or that because an individual is active in supporting the voting rights of minority citizens that they are going to think a certain way about gun control or illegal immigration or affirmative action.

Most Americans hold disparate views on many topics; only those on the fringes believe that Party unity demands absolute orthodoxy from everyone.

You mean I would have to pay more to eat the lettuce myself as opposed to watching them eat it off of each other while they wear it? Ok. If they insist

Real vegan women don't need those cabbage leaves as there is little or nothing to hide on top. Those things are mostly built on fat and protein. Not seaweed. LOL Brings up a question though. Are male models paid less , or hired less often , because female models attract more attention and get the message out? SEXISM! LOL

If that is true, and I believe it is in your case , why do liberals seem even less tolerant of different views within their own camp than conservatives? I abhor the entire donkephant. But the repubs co-existed pretty well with splits in the ranks ( Rand Paul, Tea Party, Trump etc)
While the DNC appeared to choose a candidate for the voters. Also it feels like some liberals are in a "who can be the most left" competition. In other words as a grateful outsider to both "major parties" I see the dems as more controlling within.
I believe that is causing some to see the "left" as a single body of thought when it is not.
