Shenzen China going all electric with transportation

This is amazing, in Shenzen China they have made all taxis and city busses electric. They even made a self driving future train that can carry 300 passengers. I know that right now it is not true green energy because they are still burning coal to power them. But it is said the air is the cleanest that it has been in the last 15 years. You have to consider that if they made these kinds of drastic steps that it is only a matter of time before they are no longer burning coal. They are taking true steps to mitigate pollution. Not only that they are selling these busses and cars to the rest of the world. They are benefiting in many ways. If only our nation would have taken the same initiative I can only imagine where we could be. But we will get there, it is only a matter of time. But as for now we are left in the technological dust by those who are driven by greed, and holding us back in the fossil fuel age.

​It is the powerful who will not let our nation move forward and are holding our whole nation back out of greed. The corporations make choices for the rest of us based on their greed, even if it is at the cost of the advancement of their own nation. You will call me anti-American for pointing it out. But what is truly despicable is the truth.

I think public transportation is feasible in areas of dense population, like NYC. Where the population spreads out, it becomes less and less feasible, so that one metro area with a half million population might be a far better candidate for mass transit options than another area with a half million population.

Public mass transit is foremost a political sound byte, I think. First it's positive, and then sometime after it's built or installed, it becomes more and more negative. They all get them, however, because sound bytes get politicians elected.

Electric vehicles do not save energy, and I doubt if they reduce pollution.
