Yet we live in a world ruled by violence or the threat of violence. How can this be?
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

It's simply a matter of time.
In quoting my post, you affirm and agree that you have not been goaded, provoked, emotionally manipulated or otherwise coerced into responding.

You know, if we could remove government from the equation, it might not be.

I don't know how you would do that.

Is it? What makes you believe that? Once again it looks like you are taking what is biblical and trying to make it scientific or logically necessary. The inheritance of the meek is ultimately based on trust in God. You do this a lot. So do the other "spiritual" folks.

Funny but the same sentiment is expressed both in Hinduism and Buddhism.

What's funny is that you're not a Hindu or a Buddhist, have no significant experience with those cultures and understand both about as well as you understand nuclear physics.

Again, you are trying to make what is biblical into a scientific or logical proposition. Mind you, it would make no more sense to appeal to Hinduism or Buddhism. You would still be trying to make a scientific proposition out of what is not the least bit scientific or logical but I am in no mood to humor you.

Meh, you chose to initiate this unsolicited dialogue with me, so don't pretend that my responses are an imposition. I was originally responding to Donttread. Don't confuse my nominal responses for anything other than curiosity to see how long it would take before you reverted to type.

Kind of like the Middle East. There used to be many places there that people lived in peace and had beautiful cultures. But we just kept instigating more war. It is now worse there, than before our "interventions". No one is living a better life there now. In fact millions of lives have been utterly destroyed. Places that were once beautiful, are now just piles of rubble and death. War solves nothing. War only makes more war, and it devours everything in its path.
We are all brothers and sisters in humanity. We are all made from the same dust of stars. We cannot be separated because all life is interconnected.

They're not an imposition. They're bull$#@!...at least in this case.

The inheritance of the meek and the Day of the Lord are intimately and necessarily connected. It is through God's judgement not science or logic that the meek will inherit the Earth. Glad you understand that now.

    War made the modern world.
