    Impossible?

I heard about this last year on an episode of Wahburgers, and I was wondering how long it would be before the large chains picked up on it.

Supposedly, the Impossible Burger mimics the taste and texture of a real beef hamburger.

I'll have to see the ingredient list before I try one. Their has to be a chemical component to aid in the flavoring and texture of the patty.

I just heard this yesterday. For meat eaters it might be a great thing.

For those like me who already do not eat meat -- we really don't want something that has an identical texture to flesh, and there are so many great veggie burgers out there, such as Morningstar Griller Prime, that I don't know if this will be a vegetarian's dream. I'll probably try it, though, just to be fair.

Does anyone remember that fake hamburger crap, they trotted out in the early 70's? It was called, 'textured soy protein'.

My mom thought she'd save a little money and, she bought a package.

We wouldn't eat it, it didn't look or smell like hamburger. My mom never bought it again. I don't think they sold it for long.
