It shouldn't be any more panic, considering we already know we can cut a lot disaster relief funds simply based on the color of the State.

Red States no longer want disaster relief funding and that's just fine with me.

Should be a great cost saving in the future.

You took that way to personally, and I was reflecting the attitudes of the elitist pig leftists that look down upon ALL OF US, including you. It still disturbs me that you're ok with promoting a fraud if it forces changes in behavior you don't like.

Chloe, I never meant to imply that you called me a rednek or insignificant. I just thought Pete's redneck comment was funny.
that being said, the fact is that many liberals do see conservatives as ignorant, backwoods renecks, and themselves as intellectually, morally, and just overall superior to us mere mortals. If you don't that's great, but many, if not most, of your fellow travelers do.

I'm not necessarily wanting to promote a lie in order to change behavior since I'd much rather people just do the right thing and be responsible, but my main point was that I fear what people will do if they are told that their actions have no consequences when it comes to air quality and the environment. Imagine 7 billion people all no longer caring about air pollution just because there's no proof it hurts anything any more. It's scary. Maybe having that second thought, that little bit of uncertainty about if an action is going to be damaging to the atmosphere, maybe that's a good thing.

We are the most environmentally conscious people on earth. We've retarded progress all in the name of "not harming mother earth", so your worries are valid. If the majority realized they have been fed bull$#@! for 60 years they would revolt and start changing their own oil and dumping it into the ground and burning their old tires, dumping old batteries and started eating sea turtle eggs again.

That's not the fault of people who have been advocating truth and rational debate, it's the fault of fear mongers who use the force of government and psuedoscience to retard the standard of living and extract money from the people through force of government.

We are not the most environmentally conscious people on Earth i'm sorry. We are doing better than a lot of other countries sure, but that is NOT because of conscience in most cases.
