That's exactly what politicians did to ban noise suppressors ("silencers") on guns, however, to then go on and extort the daylights out of people who make and trade in them -- all of it based on a complete pulp lie that assiciates suppressors with bad guys.

Fact is, suppressors would be very beneficial on gun ranges, especially indoor or near populated areas.

Leaders are not elected to their positions because Americans are expected to take on faith whatever they're told by them. That's what politicians want but that's not the way it works.

Another example is the Sandy Hook massacre. Proof of that was never shown, and a lot of evidence suggests it was fabricated BS -- a wag-the-dog drama to gin up gun control politics. From it was coined the term "crisis actor". I'm not a conspiracist but conspiracy does exist.
