What We Know About Saudi Arabia’s Role in 9/11

I am posting this thread because I was told that the Saudis had nothing to do with the 9-11 hijackers, that it is case closed, and I am not allowed to talk about it anymore. I want to link an article that says otherwise, and will also post a link to the leaked 28 pages. I will only leave a short excerpt from the article, but reading the whole thing is not a bad idea before you defend the Saudis on this.

Here is a link to the 28 pages https://28pages.org/the-declassified-28-pages/

See the rest of the article here https://foreignpolicy.com/2016/07/18...s-role-in-911/

    Excerpt:

Sometimes, reality is so absurd that it outstrips anything conspiracy theorists could come up with. More than 13 years after the congressional investigation published its report into the events surrounding the 9/11 attacks, the much discussed “28 pages” on Saudi involvement in the terrorist assault, which had been held back as too sensitive to publish, have been released. As it turns out, there are 29 pages, not 28, numbered 415 through 443 in the congressional inquiry into the 9/11 attacks. And deletions on the pages — sometimes words, often whole lines — add up to the equivalent of a total of three pages. So we still are not being given the full story.

It is instantly apparent that the widely held belief for why the pages were not initially released — to prevent embarrassing the Saudi royal family — is true.

    The pages are devastating:

Page 415: “While in the United States, some of the September 11 hijackers were in contact with, and received support and assistance from, individuals who may be connected to the Saudi Government.… [A]t least two of those individuals were alleged by some to be Saudi intelligence officers.”

Page 417: One of the individuals identified in the pages as a financial supporter of two of the 9/11 hijackers, Osama Bassnan, later received a “significant amount of cash” from “a
member of the Saudi Royal Family" during a 2002 trip to Houston.

I remember when they first released the redacted copies -- three years ago or so -- Obama was still in office.

But, I don't think they reached a solid conclusion -- did they?

Not even close. I am suggesting that we stop supporting them. Stop giving them weapons, and helping them in their little genocide of 20 million people. That we stop giving them weapons that they are sharing with al-Qaida in Yemen. That we do not pursue giving nuclear weapons technology to the nation who attacked our soil, and is supporting the people who did in Yemen. Not a smart move if you ask me.

I would never want us to go to war with the Saudis, their people are innocent. They have nothing to do with what their leaders are doing. I am 100% against war. It solves nothing. It is a waste and a shame. It is a corporate sham!

You have to wonder where a persons loyalties lie, that they would argue at why we should support the people who attacked us on our own soil, and are supporting that very same group (al-Qaida) in Yemen. We are by proxy through a third party supplying weapons to the group who we are supposedly going after in this war business.

I know, I know it is really just a lie, because it is about the oil, not the terrorists, and about power, But must we be so blatant?

Right. “Connections” to the Saudi Government. Do you know how many people are in the Saudi Royal family? Each obviously has connections to the Saudi Government.

What you’re still missing is the idea that the actual Saudi government gave aid or helped to perpetuate the 9-11 attacks.

That was Al Qaeda. Harbored and protected by the Taliban government in Afghanistan.

    Sounds like a good idea.

Or are you suggesting we charge Bill Clinton for being an accessory to the murder of nearly 3000 Americans?

That's not a bad idea, either, given how much he helped bin Laden.

Perhaps JAP should discuss what she doesn't know about the Saud and 911. Could help with comprehension.

Of course for some odd reason she thinks that if the Saud wasn't buying weapons from the US. That they wouldn't be getting weapons from Russia and still committing Genocide upon the Yemenis. That it would stop the Saud. That they would give up with the Iranians supplying weapons to the Houthi and allow Iran to gain control of Yemen.

All would be Right as rain if the US broke their word to the Saud and OPEC.

So just because others are, that means we should get in on the action? If you are driving down the street and suddenly you come upon a huge crowd, and there is a huge stage set up with a bunch of innocent people lined up with targets on them. And in the crowd it is a mix of people from several different nations, and there is a man at the podium offering to give 200 dollars to any man who will kill one of the innocent people lined up, a Russian steps forward, A British person steps forward they take the challenge. One shoots a child, one shoots an old man. You being an American, should you get in on the action too?

Or is the spectacle horrifying, so much so that you condemn the whole thing, and as a true American hero do everything in your power to save the lives of the innocent civilians who are lined up to be killed so that some brainless monster can make a few dollars?

    Your reasoning is Bull$#@! MMC!

We do not give them weapons.

    We sell them weapons.

If we did not sell them weapons, they would not buy weapons, right? That logic works for you?
