I have to wonder how many years all this anxiety about your diet takes off your life.
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

Me too. For me it isn't hard. I actually like the stuff that is good for you, and don't have a problem skipping large parts of the supermarket.

It took me a long time to understand a very simple concept.

"YOU' are the end user. If the 'tree that grows the apple that you eat' (insert any consumable food) has been treated with assorted systemic/foliar synthetic chemicals, you too, will be consuming those chemicals.

You consume it, breathe it, drink it, your body absorbs it. Rather a direct line.

We have unprecedented life expectancy, unprecedented access to food and the safest food supply in human history but while we have overcome many of the concerns of our ancestors we have not overcome our seemingly innate disposition for worry.

I buy mostly organic, too. A few years ago a friend took me to Aldis and I was surprised what a huge variety they have of organic foods. Now I shop there all the time. My husband developed sensitivities to some of the additives in processed foods, so it's nice to have a good selection.

I read her article. I was not impressed.
I read about antibiotics being sprayed on fruits and vegetables in a book, then in my haste to post about it I simply picked the first article that came to my attention. I didn't think the article was all that bad.

I just did the following search: "Antibiotics used as pesticides" And here is the result:

I did not argue against the premise. I argued against the author. She failed to make a valid case.

Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

Ummm…. you know how when something you put on your skin gets absorbed, like lotion?

Now apply that idea to your food, skin and all......
