What part of "shall not be infringed" is lost on these people?

They could even require a special transportation permit.
New York cannot violate the Second Amendment.

Since the right to bear arms cannot be infringed, the state of New York cannot prohibit the transportation of arms from one internal location to another.

I sure will be glad when the Supreme Court becomes Ruthless and her treasonous idea of using laws from $#@!hole foreign countries to adjudicate US constitutional questions dies with her.

NY State has an enormous population and a historically large virtually corporate criminal contingent who import and export illegal weapons. Their proximity to major seaports adds to this state specific issue.
You mean it depends on if the Court obeys the Constitution and refuses infringement, or follows political fads of fascism and denies citizens their Constitutional rights.

The concept of "bearing arms" hasn't changed. Put them in a horse's rawness wagon or s station wagon, carry them in pockets on slung across the back, it's all the same.

    Hasn't changed.

What is anachronistic about guaranteeing the freedom of the people to have in their possession the means needed to kill tyrants?

Oh, and you are busy blue-skying it todsy.

The imposter and export if weapons, legal and otherwise, is not a matter of concern to the state of New York.

That is a matter for Congress to address.

I suspect that weapons are transported by land in order to avoid security and inspection measures.

So if I wanted to go to a gun range outside city limits, I should fly? Good Lord, driving is convenient.
