So you nurse ailing spiders back to health?

Dogs that are owned and loved will immediately relax once they feel that collar and leash. That's security. Look at that dog getting groomed. He's used to being bathed and fussed over. To him it means going home.

I haven't noticed any that are ailing. I don't kill them. I put them outside or leave them alone if it's too cold. They may have to rebuild their web.

If you say so. Hopefully it isn’t a Black Widow or Recluse. Could kill you.

I would remove a Black Widow or a Recluse - both have distinctive patterns on their backs. The BW especially. I'd probably take the Black Widow to the Entomology Department of the local university or to the zoo. They are pretty rare around here. I'd find a woodpile well away from people's homes for the recluse.

The markings on a widow are on the underside.

Handling poisonous spiders could be fatal.

Not the Northern Black Widow female. She has really obvious red patterns on her back. The males are brown and nonpoisonous. You can catch any spider on a flat surface with a glass and a piece of paper.

Gotcha. I always dealt with them in California.
