“Extremism in defense of liberty is no vice. Moderation in pursuit of justice is no virtue.” - Barry Goldwater

Peter already outlined how a good lawyer could subpoena a University to give testimony on which student wasn't accepted or how a specific student was "bumped" as a result of the acceptance of Huffman's kids. Just for the sake of argument it doesn't involve just a one-for-one scenario. Someone was bumped, then the person that perhaps was on a waiting list was bumped....and so on... I foresee a class-action in the future. That will result in an investigation not only to the people who helped Huffman commit fraud but the University's culpability. That will result in a settlement which by the way is paid for by the taxpayers depending on whether or not we are talking about a Federally and State funded school like UCLA or USC or a private school like Yale or Harvard.
With that being said these all universities have a limited acceptance rate. Huffman bought and committed fraud to get her kids into the school in front of somebody else. In essence she committed a crime that resulted in someone else being effected. That person effected? The victim. Pretty straight forward. Not sure why you need a name to realize that very simple concept but you'll get one, probably multiples if you follow this...
I know we live in a society that is made up by the classes. But the USA is founded on the idea of opportunity. Can we agree on that?
If so...What you are saying is that the rich can buy their way in and thereby remove opportunity from the equation. Which is extremely unpatriotic. Either you believe in this country's foundation or you don't. In my opinion, trouncing on those ideals that are Constitutionally guaranteed via illegal means should result in a significant punishment.
