    I'm outta here.

All opportunity for a serious discussion on this issue evaporated when one participant can't even come to acknowledge what happened in Chernobyl was a true nuclear disaster. It's over.

I doubt anyone will miss you.

Of course. Nothing good happens from the combination of an inferior design and poor training.

    What do you believe happened?

I don't much care if you engage me or not. But what is it that you believe was "bad" about the industrial accident? Was it the number of deaths?

More people die in Chicago on a four day holiday weekend.

A handful of people were killed almost immediately. About 50 died shortly after.

However, the ultimate death toll is still being calculated. Cancer deaths are estimated at 5,000 and as of 2005, 19,000 families were receiving government assistance because of the loss of the family breadwinner.

There are also genetic damages whose consequences are yet to be fully measured.

But, in fact, those estimates are wildly off the mark. By now everyone that would have died prematurely should have. What number died?

I was a military intelligence company commander when Chernobyl burned. It was an interesting time.

There’s no doubt that the Chernobyl incident was a nuclear disaster caused by both an inferior design and poor training. That can’t happen here.

Considering who was affected genetics were questionable anyway. Except for a few smokin' hot tennis players how else did they ever benefit us anyway?
