    In short, the sanctions are international. They've been enforced by Indonesia, and now us.

    The UN itself likely put the sanctions in place.
    It's still coal.
    It's still an act of control.
    And it's still likely to be largely driven by us.

    The bottom line is we let the nuclear cat out of the bag 74 years ago and cannot put it back in the bag. Nuke nations are almost univadable, which presents a huge problem to the global military industrial complex.
