This desire to impeach Trump is a product of TDS. It's origins go back to election night when liberals on CNN were literally crying and the MSNBC crew was expressing extreme anger claiming America is now NAZI Germany.

It's never gotten any better and it's only going to get worse. When impeachment fails to remove him from office, I would not be surprised if Democrats call for an armed coup. That's the logical next step.

Impeachment, by itself, is necessary, but not sufficient, to remove a president from office. It would need to be confirmed by the Senate--which would simply never happen.

An armed coup is (sadly) possible. But such a step would (1) fly in the face of roughly half the country; and (2) even worse, perhaps, destroy American democracy.

I believe that there are many on the left who don't care if they destroy American democracy. I think in many cases that's their goal They believe American democracy is evil, sexist, homophobic and racist in nature.

An armed coup by who? The military won't fight against the people unless it's to protect the president.

I said that I wouldn't be surprised if the Democrats call for the military to conduct a coup when their impeachment effort fails. I didn't say that would happen.
