Not necessarily. You need to look a little closer as to the 'why's' of Trumps election. His business background helped him a great deal with some people. The selection was bad and badder, IMO. I voted a write-in.

Before you think I am all about Trump, I'm not, but I look at the reasons he likely ended up where he is, and IMO, he was just as surprised as everyone else. I actually expected he might walk away from it, but his ego being what it is, would not permit it.

He has a business background, has had businesses fail on him, was not Clinton, was the antithesis of Obama, and appealed to the Conservatives.

But back to the OP.... students are not being prepared for 'the real world', and for the money being paid for their education, they should be.

And yet we see no huddled masses of failed college graduates cowering in the streets, looking for safe spaces.

    Puzzling, is it not?

And now, with the elites promoting racist "Adversity Scoring" to override the real scoring the SAT is supposed to be reporting, the nation's elite schools will be filled to overflowing with the scions of rich families who would otherwise be too stupid to get in without bribery and the scum of the gutters, leaving the children of people who work hard to live in good neighborhoods who aren't dependent on Rodents out in the cold.

Have you recently hired a newly graduated 20 ish year old? Expectations are high on their side. Reality is missing a beat, especially when they are not successful in finding employment in the area of their studies.

Extremism much? By your outline, I can see how you would see it as 'puzzling', but since that is not what I said, it's not applicable. I'll give you credit for the try, though.

Rather than acting like someone you aren't while using an avatar of someone who makes his living pretending to be someone he's not?

    Oops.
