    Industrial Revolution was a product of the Enlightenment, imo.

    True, but the repercussions of the Industrial Revolution spread to areas that didn't specifically adopt those ideas. Modern life, overall, is defined by industrialization in urban areas and typically a more agrarian life in rural areas. That can lead to differences in priorities, which by extension, results in differences in political preferences.
