    I can't be bothered with steamers. It's just an extra pot to wash. I toss the broccoli in with the pasta water for 10 seconds or so just to blanch it.

    My mother used to make spaghetti with cauliflower and white beans and butter. A totally white meal. I hated it but it was better than nothing.
