My youngest son is a huge film buff, and he got me to watch the original and sequel last weekend. He may have already seen JW3, but either way I suspect we'll be going to see it together soon, probably Sunday morning. I found the first movie to be highly entertaining. Yeah, it was one guy killing dozens of other guys and only catching the occasional bullet, despite being fired upon by bad guys with automatic weapons for most of the movie - in other words, completely unrealistic - but it was good and I enjoyed it. JW2 didn't quite measure up, in my opinion, but it was pretty well done. Looking forward to seeing this one on the big screen.

LOL, Yeah most of the new actions movies. They are able to duck and dodge bullets. Even at point blank range. lol

I remember a cartoon from the 60's showing a WW2 battle scene with the good guys running through a hail of bullets from the enemy without getting a scratch, then they showed a western where the indian was shot off his horse by a cowboy a half mile away. We all know American good guy bullets are far more accurate than bad guy bullets

What makes the John Wick movies so enjoyable is the gun handling skills displayed by Keanu Reeves. The guy knows his way around a firearm. It is most welcome respite from what we see most often.

Reeves was trained by an ex-military operator, a SEAL I think. There are videos on the net with several of the training sessions. Very educational.

It looks like most of the videos have been removed, but you can probably get them from the first link if you look around.

That is what I did. Akido first (pre-WWII) and then jui jitsu.
