Another thread was side tracked to which party slung the most poop at the other party. Is this a new phenomenon or have we always conducted our political debate in this manner.

What has changed is the ability to issue wide spread insults via the internet.
Also, Barack Obama may not have been our first half African American president. If you read the insults against Andrew Jackson you will see, like Obama, his mother was accused of being a prostitute who married a black man
