There is a lot of fear and anger out there among Democrats, no question; but that has nothing to do with anyone "racing for the far left". It has everything to do with having an appallingly ignorant, classless baby-man in the White House. Some of his supporters on this forum have said, "It isn't about Trump's policies - it's about Trump, himself"...and that isn't entirely untrue. Trump, just by being the loudmouthed loose cannon that he is, has done more to divide the country than any President in modern times. Some of what he has done - like appointing corporate shills to neuter and make ineffective certain government departments and agencies by heading them up - are objectively awful; but people often reflexively oppose virtually anything he proposes mostly because it's coming from him. Trump has steered the Republicans so far toward the Right fringe that the opposition just appears to racing anywhere.

Typical liberal response. Obama started the division of this country by tribalizing everyone. No, Trump has not changed the Republican Party one iota. The far, extremist left controls your party and there's your facts.

Medicare for all to include illegal immigrants, the ideas in the green new deal, taxing some income at a rate of 90%, free college tuition, abortion during the birth and even after birth, basic universal income.
