"...secure in person and property ..." is not an invention of the courts.

Trolls don't care, however, and I can see I'm standing in a swamp full of "if you aren't doing anything wrong, why should you care?" butt-sniffers lost to preserving their own privacy. So pathetic. Just say, "nuttin' you can do about it anyway," and at least you'd be honest. Wrong, but honest in submitting to your pitiable defeat.

Just opt out. Tell the landlord you don't care to use the $2000-3000 worth of eavesdropping equipment that's already installed in your apartment.

There must be some legal reason to have it there, however.

    Oh yeah, because it's fun!

The new Medicare card doesn't list your SS # anymore like the old one did.

I have never read 1984, but I know pretty much exactly what it says. How 'bout that.

If you have a cell phone in your home you have already consented to surrendur all privacy. Every single device is recording at all times and storing every single word and thought you have.
We are all brothers and sisters in humanity. We are all made from the same dust of stars. We cannot be separated because all life is interconnected.

Are you an attorney? Talk about "intellectual property". No difference between privacy and security of one's person and property. Zero.

You can fabricate a distinction, but for only one reason: the interests of high tech.
