I did say that is more what insurance is. You pay regular / maintenance costs. Unexpected and high costs are covered by insurance.

Except that those regular maintenance costs are what is driving the insurance companies out of the business. They are also becoming too dear for anyone of modest means unless doctors without borders start doing a lot more domestic work and the cost of pharmaceuticals drop.

All the government will do is control the cost. The effect will be lower quality and/or access, what the OP speaks to.

Chris, This is political balderdash and should be in another section. Thanks.

You'd think righties would get tired of blaming government for everything. The devil returns in another form, seems some need a token cause for all things for without it they would have to think.

I will grant one thing, 'dark money' has trained them well.

Thanks for your noncontribution. The OP says nothing about blaming the government.
