    Is this $#@! for real?

    https://slate.com/news-and-politics/...in-prison.html

Life in prison? Charges for leaving the state to get an abortion in a state where it is legal? Charges for a "miscarriage contributed to by her own behavior?" A six weeks time frame?
If they are looking to get abortion law to the SC, it may well backfire if it gets there and looks like this. How can Georgia punish someone for going to another state and doing something that is legal in that state? That strikes me as unamerican.
If I went on a trip to Colorado and chose to have some legal edible pot would NY have a right to file charges against me when i got home? $#@! no!

Somebody please tell me these aspects were not even proposed , much less taken seriously.

I am opposed to such a law. This is beyond the broad powers that states have (life, health, safety).

This law, I think, is unconstitutional if it is applied how you suggest.

I'll bet the Georgia politicians still want to bang their interns without wearing a condom and cut child welfare funding!

Whoa..... this is a future we do not want to walk into. People will be living in fear. This reminds me of the witch trials. Women will not tell anyone if they become pregnant out of fear that if they miscarry they will go to prison. People who miscarry naturally will be afraid to seek out medical care, out of fear that they will have to be interrogated, and could go to prison for murder. What the hell? We are most certainly taking a step way back, back to where I dont freakin' know.

Miscarriage is already one of the most awful things that can happen to someone who really wanted their baby. To have to be interrogated after such a tragedy is beyond words.

We are all brothers and sisters in humanity. We are all made from the same dust of stars. We cannot be separated because all life is interconnected.

I'm wondering if the language is vague enough to imprison a drug addict who used and lost a baby she didn't even know she was carrying. It's also an incredible way to get the mobile middle class and sensible people in general to move out of the state. Wait until that $#@! hits the economic fan.
