No. Whataboutism requires more thought than most Trump followers are capable of, being it requires listing actual examples (even if they are dumb examples). If they're spoon fed such examples to cut and paste, Trump followers can handle it, but otherwise no.
Your "I know you are, but what am I?" tactic is different. It only requires repeating "I know you are, but what am I?" or "You're a mirror-troll!" mechanically, hence it requires no thought at all. Even Trump followers can use it.
Liberals, obviously, have much less need for such tactics. Reality tends to have a strong liberal bias, so liberals can use reason and evidence.

I know why you're worried. Proud liberals win elections. That bothers supposed independents who actually carry water for the Republicans. They want a nice wimpy "can't we all get along?" Biden type.
As the Republicans are far worse than the Democrats, pretending otherwise is working on behalf of the Republicans. Then take a good look at what party you apparently support, and then try and declare either one 'morally superior'. Neither one is, and neither one will ever be.
Tradition is not the worship of ashes, but the preservation of fire. ― Gustav Mahler
You still don't see the issue with what you posted, so obviously you will always believe that one party is 'worse' than the other, and continue to fail to realize that they really are two sides to the same coin.
To believe that one is 'better' than the other, you also have to deny the fact that all of 'this' divisive crap, isn't actually about politics, it's about control.
Open your eyes.
