    When I was a kid Dad slaughtered hundreds of rabbits for markets. We didn't even count the chickens and turkey we also slaughtered. It was part of our income. Dad was also a saw operator at a lumber yard. I never gave a second thought to our slaughtered animals. I couldn't do it today but then it was them or us.

    Yeah, so did we, except for the lumbering part. We were on the American Great Plains, where the wind howls year 'round, and where Gleed wants to dump nuclear waste.

    This post makes me very sad when I think of all the wonderful meals my baby (RIP) used to labor over to serve such wonderful food. Not just for the food but God I miss her so much.
