President Donald Trump, in an exclusive interview with ABC Newsman George Stephanopoulos, claimed that he'd accept information on a political opponent from a foreign government during an election. this was in regards to his son, Donald Jr's meeting with a Russian Lawyer during the 2016 election at Trump Tower in NYC. Jr. apparently did not contact the FBI about the meeting. This breaking story has the media talk show commentators raising the question is this considered treason based on his remarks?

Trump Jr. spoke to Congress for three hours Wednesday to discuss answers he gave in an interview to the Senate Intelligence Committee in 2017, including those regarding emails leading up to the meeting which promised dirt on Democrat Hillary Clinton, Trump's opponent.
I think this will open a new can of worms for Trump and the democrats will be under further pressure to open up impeachment inquiries which could end up in impeachment proceedings.
