Jr. apparently did not contact the FBI about the meeting. This breaking story has the media talk show commentators raising the question is this considered treason based on his remarks?

Trump Jr. spoke to Congress for three hours Wednesday to discuss answers he gave in an interview to the Senate Intelligence Committee in 2017, including those regarding emails leading up to the meeting which promised dirt on Democrat Hillary Clinton, Trump's opponent.

I think this will open a new can of worms for Trump and the democrats will be under further pressure to open up impeachment inquiries which could end up in impeachment proceedings.

Think about this for a minute. The FBI is part of the administration. The head of the administration is the President. The President has the power to release any information the FBI uncovers, in effect, they work for him.
