    - Massive Police Response
The scene is in the 2000 block of Durham involving — the Frayser neighborhood
It was unclear what led up to the shooting or how many people were shot. Breaking911 can confirm the officers involved were from the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force — part of the US Marshal Service.

If the US Marshal's task force was involved they were likely serving a warrant.

From the reports I've read, they say the suspect shot at the police after ramming his vehicle into the task force’s vehicle. Seems like the people in Memphis are rioting over a dumbass’s fatal mistake of winning a stupid prize for playing a stupid game.
“Conscientiously believing that the proper condition of the negro is slavery, or a complete subjection to the white man, and entertaining the belief that the day is not distant when the old Union will be restored with slavery nationally declared to be the proper condition of all of African descent, and in view of the future harmony and progress of all the States of America, I have been induced to issue this address, so that there may be no misunderstanding in the future”

Yes they were, he had felony warrants including one for either murder or attempted murder. They claimed it was for shooting a guy 5 times.

Well, throwing rocks and looting stores is certainly a way to improve relations with the police department. Why is it the first thing that happens is looting stores? Don't you think that sends a negative message?

BTW, I watched "Man on Fire" last night. Good flick. Denzel Washington is a very good actor don't you think?

Yea but they didn't know why he rammed his vehicle into theirs. The media loves to leave out important facts. Like why the US Marshals were there looking for him in the first place. All they knew is the young man was well respected and well known in this community even at this young age as an activist. Cops surrounded his vehicle, he tried to escape, banished a weapon and the cops fired on him 16 times.

Instead of telling the truth that this young man was considered armed and dangerous because of the charges he faced at this young age.

Ignorant people do ignorant things. It makes me sick to see people take advantage of any situation and use it to loot and destroy property.

Denzel is the man, you should see his equalizer movies.

I have no sympathy for anyone firing on law enforcement, then expect to survive.
